Thank you for choosing RealisticWorldGenerator as your world-generator. If you have any problems, feel free to ask on our discord or via a private message in the spigot-forums!
This guide is also available as Video-Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUY8WH0WWt4
Before you install this plugin you have to choose the right version for your Spigot-version! You can select the correct version from the version-history here.
If you are having a server running on a version from 1.8 up to 1.12, you need to install a 3.X-Version. Recommended is 3.8.6. As this wiki is for v4, you should search in our v3-Wiki. |

Next Steps
RWG will now generate your worlds with it's default configuration. May you dislike some features enabled by the default configuration, so from now on it is important to change some stuff.
For all configurations RWG has easy steps that you need to go through to enable them. In our short Tutorial we show you how. |
The probably last question, which now is important: Where do I find which settings?
config.yml - You will find general settings for RWG in this central configuration-file.
biomes.yml - The biomes.yml is per world and contains the informations on how to paint which biome and determining which structure and tree to spawn where. It also takes advantage of the mobs in each biome.
border.yml - You need a border on your map to maybe save your server's disk? In the border-config you find everything to make RWG only generate certain chunks in an given area.
caves.yml - You want cooler or different caves then in the default-configuration? No problem, in the caves.yml you can configure each cave to it's limits, making them fewer or smaller.
chests.yml - Schematics can also get given chest-contents. In the chest.yml you can apply chest-configurations to each schematic-file.
generator.yml - The terrain should be taller or flatter? This file is your goto. You can change the terrain based on multiple noises here. This file is also important if you want to enable/disable mineshafts.
ores.yml - You want different ore-settings or you want to add custom-ores or other blocks? This files handles all chances, height-areas and other stuff for spawning ores.
settings.yml - The settings.yml contains centralized options, that does not really fit into the other files like flat spawn-area, rtp-stuff etc.
trees.yml - RWG can also handle the tree-growth of saplings in RWG-Worlds. You can define which tree spawns from which spaling and you are also able to remove given blocks like fences from the trees here.
village.yml - This file contains everything you need to edit villages and how they are spawned
